Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Calorie Tracker handles your information.

1. Data Storage

We do not store your personal data on our servers. All food logs, weight entries, and personal profile information are stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database (Hive).

2. AI Analysis & Data Transmission

To provide food analysis capabilities, the app sends specific data to our AI processing partner:

• Data Sent: When you log food via text or image, that text or image is sent to our backend.
• AI Provider: We use OpenRouter to access advanced AI models. Your data is passed through our secure Cloudflare Worker proxy to OpenRouter for the sole purpose of nutritional analysis.
• Retention: Our backend acts as a "pass-through" only. We do not log or store the images or text you send for analysis on any server or database.

3. Firebase Services

We use Firebase for basic app infrastructure:

• Authentication: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to provide a secure, unique ID for your device without requiring personal details like email or name.
• App Check: We use Firebase App Check to ensure that only genuine versions of our app can communicate with our backend.

4. Third-Party Services

Aside from OpenRouter (for AI analysis) and Firebase (for infrastructure), we do not share your data with any third parties.

5. Your Control

Since all data is stored on your device, you have complete control. Deleting the app will permanently remove all locally stored logs and data.
