The short version: Glow stores your primary data locally on your device. To provide AI-driven skincare routines and selfie analysis, we securely transmit specific profile data to our AI providers. We use OpenRouter with a focus on privacy. We never sell your personal information.

📋 Information We Collect

Glow is designed with a hybrid approach to privacy. Most of your daily data is stored exclusively on your device, while specific profile information is used to power our AI features.

Stored Locally:

Your progress and check-in history
Your finalized daily routine and checklist
Notification preferences and reminder times

Processed for AI Features:

To generate your personalized routine and analyze your skin, the following data is transmitted to our secure backend and AI providers:

Your name (used for personalizing recommendations)
Skin profile (type, tone, age range, top concerns, sensitivities)
Lifestyle data (wake-up time, bed time, hydration goals, fitness habits)
Location data (Country and climate zone for environmental tuning)
Selfie images (only if you choose to use the AI analysis feature)

🤖 AI Processing & OpenRouter

We use OpenRouter as our primary routing layer to access advanced AI models (such as DeepSeek) for routine generation and image analysis.

How your data is handled by AI providers:

OpenRouter Privacy: OpenRouter acts as a gateway. By default, they do not store the content of prompts or responses unless necessary for service delivery.
Zero Data Retention (ZDR): Where possible, we prioritize "ZDR" (Zero Data Retention) endpoints. This means the AI model provider does not store or use your data to train their models.
Secure Transmission: All data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Limited Scope: We only send the minimum profile context necessary to generate an accurate routine.

🚫 What We Do Not Collect

Glow does not collect, transmit, or process any of the following:

✕ Email address or passwords

✕ Precise GPS coordinates

✕ Continuous background tracking

✕ Device identifiers for advertising

✕ Health data from third-party apps

✕ Payment information

🛡️ Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

Encryption: All data transmitted for AI processing is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS.
Local Protection: Data stored on your device is protected by your OS (iOS/Android) security mechanisms.
No Account Required: Glow currently operates without a central user account, minimizing the risk of a centralized data breach.

📱 Local Storage

Primary app data is stored locally on your device using Hive. This data remains under your control and is permanently deleted if you uninstall the app.

🔔 Notifications

Glow uses local push notifications for routine reminders. These are scheduled entirely on-device and do not involve server-side tracking.

🏪 App Store & Feedback

Glow is distributed through the App Store. Apple may collect standard usage data as part of their services. We use native In-App Review APIs; your ratings are handled by the OS and not stored by us.

👧 Children's Privacy

Glow is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us immediately.

⚖️ Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can view, modify, or delete your routine and profile information directly within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
